Privacy
Veldo keeps a picture of your startup so Claude can pick up where you left off. This page says exactly what Veldo collects, why, who else handles it, how long it's kept, and what you can do about it.
The short version
- What's storedYour startup picture and library notes (and their earlier versions), your name, email and Google account ID from signing in, a record of which Veldo features you use and when, and a count of website visits tied to a random ID in your browser.
- Who can see itOnly you. Axus, who runs Veldo, sees who uses Veldo (name, email, which features and when), and can see your content if he needs to fix something.
- What Veldo never doesSell or share your data, show ads, track you across other websites, or run AI on your data. Your own Claude does the thinking.
- Your controlSee and edit everything on My Veldo. Email to get a copy or have it deleted.
Who is responsible
Veldo is run by Axus, who decides how your data is used. Contact: .
What Veldo collects
- From Google sign-inYour Google account ID, name and email address. Veldo asks Google only for these (the "openid", "email" and "profile" permissions). Veldo doesn't keep your Google password or Google's access token, and can't see anything else in your Google account. Your name and email are kept in Veldo's list of users.
- Usage recordWhich Veldo features you used and when, for example "asked for a next move" or "saved a library note", when you connected Veldo, and which Claude app it was used from (by the name the app gives itself, such as "Claude"). Never what's in them.
- What you or your Claude saveYour startup picture and library notes, written by you on My Veldo or by your own Claude while you use Veldo, with the date and reason of each change. Earlier versions are kept so you can see what changed.
- Website visitsWhen you open a page of this site (including My Veldo), a small script keeps a random ID in your browser and tells Veldo the ID, the page and the time. That's all: no IP address, no name or email, and it isn't linked to your Veldo account. It shows Axus how many people visit and how many come back. It isn't counted if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
- Technical dataTo deliver the site, Cloudflare (Veldo's host) handles your IP address and browser details. To stop floods, Veldo counts requests per IP address for up to a minute; those counts aren't stored. Veldo keeps error logs for up to 7 days to fix problems. Veldo doesn't log what your pages or searches contain.
Why, and on what basis
- To run Veldo for youGiving your Claude your picture when it asks, showing My Veldo, and keeping you signed in. This is needed to provide the service you signed up for.
- To know who uses Veldo and keep in touchSeeing who uses Veldo and which features, to improve it, and emailing you about Veldo, including notices it has promised (like the 14 days' notice before Veldo becomes paid). This is Veldo's legitimate interest and part of keeping its terms.
- To see how many people visitCounting new and returning visitors to the website, to know whether people find Veldo useful enough to come back. This is Veldo's legitimate interest; it's anonymous counting, not a profile of you.
- To keep Veldo working and safeError logs and security checks, so Veldo works and stays secure. This is Veldo's legitimate interest, and it's kept to the minimum.
Who else handles it
- CloudflareHosts Veldo and stores its database, in the United States.
- GoogleHandles sign-in. Google's own privacy policy applies to your Google account.
- Anthropic (your Claude)When you use Veldo in Claude, your picture and notes go into your Claude conversation. From there they're handled under your Claude account's settings and Anthropic's privacy policy, not Veldo's.
Nobody else gets your data, and it's never sold or used for ads.
How long it's kept
- Picture and libraryUntil you ask for them to be deleted. That includes their earlier versions.
- After you ask to deleteRemoved from Veldo's database, usually within a few days of your email. Cloudflare's database keeps a restore history for up to 30 days, after which the copies are gone too.
- Users list and usage recordKept while you use Veldo, and deleted with the rest of your data when you ask.
- Website visits13 months, then deleted. Your browser makes a new random ID after 13 months.
- Sign-in recordsExpire about 30 days after you last use Veldo in Claude.
- Error logsUp to 7 days.
Your rights
You can see and correct your data on My Veldo at any time. By emailing , you can also get a copy of it, have it deleted, or object to how it's used. If you're in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Cookies and browser storage
Veldo only uses cookies it needs to work: one that keeps you signed in to My Veldo (7 days), short-lived ones that protect sign-in (10 minutes), and one that remembers which apps you approved (30 days). No tracking or advertising cookies. For website visit counts, Veldo keeps one random ID in your browser's storage (13 months); it's used only by Veldo, only for counting. To stop it, turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, or clear this site's data in your browser. Fonts are served by Veldo itself, so loading a page doesn't contact Google.
Children
Veldo is for founders and isn't meant for anyone under 16.
